Hey everyone! Really excited to take a crack at this challenge.
I’ve decided to create a cyberpunk version of Iris, the Greek goddess of Rainbows who’s often depicted as a messenger for the gods. I’ve so far gotten most of a rough blockout pass done - I just need to do some more work on the face and her sword - and a slightly chaotic looking reference board that I’ve loosely grouped images together in (based on whether its for direct reference, ideas or general inspiration).
Generally looking at the Cyberpunk universe for the main aesthetic basis, with some inspiration from Mirror’s Edge and more general techwear fashion.
I can’t wait to see what everyone comes up with! Hope you’re all having fun making cool ah characters!

Since I last posted, I’ve created simmed versions of each of the major pieces of clothing (still gotta look at simming her bag, but I think thats the last one? I’m planning to just look at sculpting over the shoes I’ve already blocked out and I’m undecided atm on simming her gloves or not). I’ve also decided to change the hairstyle as I didn’t think the other one suited the character’s face as much, so I’ve done a new blockout for that.
Trying to think up a name for a delivery company logo I can make for her jacket. Kinda wanting to make it a cute little easter egg to other Greek Myths or Gods. Also having a little think about what kinds of tattoos I wanna give her when I eventually get to texturing - probably something water or rain based as a nod to her godly domain.

Week has been slightly insane, so not gotten as much as I wanted to done.
I’ve reworked the face and t-shirt as I wasn’t happy with how they were looking and I’ve added some detailing on the gloves and shoes, remodelled her cyberdeck and gotten the backpack modelled.
I think I’ve got a name for her delivery company - Independant Runners International Shipping. I think I’m gonna incorporate elements from the cadeuceus symbol as tattoos on her arm and chest(?), I’m gonna look at trying to incorporate the water/rain iconography as part of the company logo and I’m thinking of referencing the wings she is often depicted with on the back of her jacket and on her shoes (which is also a cute little nod to Hermes’ Winged Boots in the original myths). 
Think next steps are a bit more detailing (still got work to do on the body and I’d like to get some more secondary and maybe some tertiary done on the sculpt) then I really gotta get my butt in gear and start getting things retopped and unwrapped because I’m very aware that that is gonna take me a whiiiiiile
