Myths Reimagined - Fairy

Hey!
I want to create a small fairy riding a mouse creature being a bit mischievous.
Going stylized this time!
Feeling a bit rusty, so i will try to take my time and get shapes I’m happy with.
Want to go for something cyberpunk like or a bit retro sci-fi like star wars.

Currently doodling the face and seeing what direction I’m liking.

A small update :slight_smile:
Been mostly playing around with the outfit and direction i want to go with for the fairy. Think i finally found the general direction i want to go, leaning for more cyberpunky. Now i just have to make it pretty :stuck_out_tongue:
For the mouse mount or whatever it turns out to be, i just played around with what it might be carrying and figuring out what i want that to look like. Still loads to figure out here.

Focusing on the fairy for now! Figuring more of her outfit out. Gave her some cybernetics in her back to spawn some wings. Started on her shoes. I also want to add some cybernetics or something to her legs.

To make her a tiny fairy, maybe she has access to a shrinking device? Shrinking down and teaming up with her rodent companion :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Well i ended up not really liking the direction i was going in with the fairy, so i went back a bit and polished up the body. Retopologisd it and tried something a bit different. Feel like i am having a bit of a same face syndrome. I will see what i can do about that a bit later :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
Going to focus on the fairy and see if i can get around to do the mouse later, we’ll see.

She’s cute! I love how the jacket looks, the detail on the bottom panel gives it a little more fantasy

A few more details here and there, but i think its starting to look pretty good. Still need to make the floating wings behind her and sculpt some details on her jackets and leggings etc.

I think the High Poly is nearing completion!
Just a few small changes and polish and i think I’ll move to Low Poly and texture baking.

I have had some problems with my GPU, so progress has been slow D:
I borrowed an old GPU from a friend but the baking times are killing me atm.
There are some baking issues, i will fix those a bit later but for now just focusing on the base color, fairly hapy with it for now, but need to fix some UV stuff and intersecting mesh stuff :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I chose to go for 8 2k texture sets instead of 2 4k.

Fixed baking issues and redid some UV maps.
Going for a more hand painted look i think. Planning on baking some lighting in to the texture once i am happy with it. Struggling a bit with the jacket. Think i want to try and be a bit bolder with my visible strokes. We’ll see how it goes.

Wings are hidden for now, haven’t gone over them yet ;p

Almost there!
Going to do just a last bit of polish, not much. Fix a bit on the hands and I’m calling it done.
Mostly going to be handpainted render in Marmoset.

Liked better green wings, works better with orange jacket. :wink:

I like both i think, but i think I’ll try and tint them a bit more green and see how that feels ;p

Think this is it. Added some sparkles from the wings as a environment piece to add a bit more to the presentation. If that’s not allowed i also intend to render out images without it :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
Now just to compose a final post in the submissions!
