Hi, did you optimized these UVs? Could use some in my opinion. And are you sure about using 6 UV sets? There is no confirmation from challenge organizations on topic of using more of smaller textures, so…
Thank you. I will be aiming to reduce the udims to 2-3 but more towards 2. I will go back and try to optimize the uvs.
Ruls are giving you 2x 4k textures to use.
Someone said that as long as they are in the “budget,” it should be okay… that could give you 1x 4k and 4x 2k, but for now it’s just a guess (admittedly logical, but unconfirmed).
(edit: by optimization, I meant relaxing the points.)

You can optimize these types of areas using the following:
A cool trick is to select the borders (you can find this option in the “Select” menu), then invert the selection with Shift drag, and then click “Optimize” – a small note, you have to be careful with areas such as eyes and mouths, because they can get messed up.

Used the optimzied tool in Maya for the first time to help with the uv.
I will be moving onto the texturing and baking process.
Hi, someone confirmed that you can break textures down into smaller sets, but your initial 6 would still be either below the available size or above it.
They’re much better now (but you’ll have the info for future use), and how’s your texturing going?

I’ve encountered issues with my uvs but can easily fix it for
