Hey guys!
For this challenge I’m going to be working on a futuristic concept for the city of Tenochtitlan (current Mexico city) . What if the Aztec Empire was never conquered and it was allowed to thrive and advance into today’s technology and beyond? I think I’ll have a lot of fun mixing the ancient stone architecture of the aztecs with high technology and enjoy the challenge!
The founding of the city of Tenochtitlan is based on a myth that we, Mexican children, learn in school. The Mexicas (Ancient Aztecs) left the city of Aztlan behind guided by their God Huitzilopoztli in search of their promised land. They were told to found their city wherever they saw an eagle devouring a serpent on top of a nopal cactus, which is what the statue in the main plaza of my concept will represent.
I have been working on a basic grey box model. Hope you guys like what I come up with
