In classical myth, the Siren symbolises the dangerous lure of the unknown, using her hypnotic song to lead sailors to their doom. My design re-imagines this creature for a future where the oceans have been ravaged by heavy metal and nuclear pollution. She is no longer a being of pure myth, but a by-product biotechnological in this poisoned environment.
Her form incorporates liquid metal skin, reflecting oil-contaminated waters, and a structure of repeated, proliferating bone elements that is the resonant sound system for her deadly frequencies. She is both a warning and a weapon, evolved to hunt those who destroyed her world.
