Horror Challenge - The Innsmouth Citizen

Hello, this is my first time participating in any 3D challenge. I’m making 3D characters for a few months so I think this will be no easy task competing with such great artists. I would like to introduce you to my project that will show the Innsmouth citizen from “The Shadow Over Innsmouth” by H. P. Lovecraft. I think there is a lot to be told on this topic and I’m willing to do my best to immerse you in this dark mysterious place.

Early sculpt of the head, to see the proportions and the general vibe of the model

Starting to texture this guy. This is my first full project with retopology and texturing so I’ve decided to make the head first and then go to the other parts to see how much time it will take

Trying to figure out the posture to create a good dynamic, but for now I’m not really happy with it. Btw he will have a lantern in his right tentacle.

Not much left to do, but I was really overwhelmed by the amount of work. I’m pretty happy with the results so far
